Thops's Barrier has Magic affinity and fits small and medium shields. It swings up a magical field to deflect sorceries and incantations, and can also parry normally. A Teardrop Scarab at the Church of Irith appears after you give Thops the spare Academy Glintstone Key and reload the area.
