Anemo catalyst support with hovering attacks, healing shots, and reaction damage support
Released May 7, 2025
Ifa is an Anemo catalyst character whose skill puts him into a hovering Nightsoul state where normal attacks fire healing Tonicshots. His burst pulls nearby enemies and objects while dealing Anemo damage, and his passive increases nearby party members’ damage from several named reactions. Consider him when you want that combination of hover-based support, healing, and reaction-focused utility.

Ifa GUIDE
Understand Ifa
Useful when…
Hovering support that fires healing Tonicshots with normal attacks.
Pulling nearby enemies and objects with his burst.
Increasing nearby-party reaction damage for Swirl, Stellar Swirl, Electro-Charged, and Lunar-Charged.
What does his skill do?
Airborne Disease Prevention grants 80 Nightsoul points and starts Ifa’s Nightsoul’s Blessing, in which he hovers with Cacucu. Normal attacks during this state fire Supporting Fire, with different kinds of shots depending on whether the skill was tapped or held; the Tonicshots can heal all party members on hit. The listed healing per hit is based on Elemental Mastery plus a flat amount. Holding the skill while airborne starts a Nightsoul-aligned plunge; releasing interrupts the plunge and keeps him hovering, but landing ends the Nightsoul state. The skill has a 7.5-second cooldown.
How do his burst and passive support combat?
Compound Sedation Field fires a sedative that explodes on impact, pulling nearby objects and opponents into a restraining wind current and dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo damage. Hitting an opponent affected by Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro applies Sedation Mark. While Ifa is in Nightsoul’s Blessing, Field Medic’s Vision grants him Rescue Essentials points based on the total Nightsoul points in his entire party; those points increase nearby party members’ Swirl, Stellar Swirl, Electro-Charged, and Lunar-Charged reaction damage. Nearby-party Nightsoul Bursts also increase his Elemental Mastery by 80 for ten seconds. These effects make his value particularly tied to the specified reactions and Nightsoul mechanics.
What should you invest in?
The skill is central if you want hover time and healing Tonicshots; the burst supplies the pull and Sedation Mark. His normal attacks matter as the way to fire Supporting Fire while hovering. Choose talent investment around which of those jobs you actually use. Ascension and the three combat talents have separate costs, including different boss materials at the listed final talent step, so advancing every track equally can consume resources without supporting your chosen role.
What limitations should you plan around?
Landing with the skill’s plunge ends his Nightsoul state, so release the hold before landing if continued hover is the goal. His burst’s Sedation Mark has an explicit condition: the hit opponent must already be affected by Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro. His described reaction-damage support names four reactions; do not assume the same bonus applies to unlisted reactions. His passive emergency heal uses Phlogiston in Natlan and does not work in Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss.
What kind of Anemo role is this?
The comparison candidates include Chasca, Vesna, and Varka, with listed weapons of bow, sword, and claymore respectively; Ifa uses a catalyst. Those records establish different weapon classes, but do not provide enough information to compare their support effects or recommend one as a replacement.
Limitations and tradeoffs
His healing attacks require the Nightsoul hover state and normal-attack use.
Landing during the held-skill plunge ends the Nightsoul state.
His stated reaction support applies to a defined set of reactions and requires Nightsoul’s Blessing.
Common mistakes to avoid
Landing during the Nightsoul plunge when you intended to keep hovering.
Expecting Sedation Mark without first applying Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro to the target.
Assuming the reaction damage passive applies to reactions not listed.
Relying on the Phlogiston heal inside Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss.

Airborne Disease Prevention · Elemental skill
It's time for the real bash bros to step up! Ifa calls Cacucu in as backup. After using this skill, Ifa gains 80 Nightsoul points and enters the **Nightsoul's Blessing** state. In the Nightsoul's Blessing state, Ifa will hover with Cacucu's help. When he uses Normal Attacks in this state, he will use different kinds of **Supporting Fire** depending on whether you Tap or Hold, firing Tonicshots that are capable of healing all party members.
Additionally, Holding the Elemental Skill Airborne Disease Prevention while Ifa is in Nightsoul's Blessing will cause him to use a Nightsoul-aligned Plunging Attack. Letting go of the skill button will interrupt this Plunging Attack to maintain his hover. If Ifa lands due to this Plunging Attack, his Nightsoul's Blessing state will end.

Compound Sedation Field · Elemental burst
Fires a Therapeutic Sedative at a (temporarily aggressive) opponent. The sedative will explode on impact, creating a restraining wind current that pulls nearby objects and opponents in while dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo DMG. Field Medic's Vision
When Ifa is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, every 1 Nightsoul point out of the current total in his entire party will grant him 1 **Rescue Essentials** point. Rescue Essentials will increase the Swirl, Stellar Swirl, Electro-Charged, and Lunar-Charged reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members.
Mutual Aid Agreement
When nearby party members trigger Nightsoul Bursts, Ifa's Elemental Mastery increases by 80 for 10s.
Night Realm's Gift: Focused Emergency Rescue
After his Nightsoul points are exhausted, Ifa will switch to consuming Phlogiston to maintain his Nightsoul's Blessing. While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, he can use Nightsoul Transmission: Ifa. When the active character is a certain height in the air, the following will occur when switching to Ifa: Ifa will enter the Nightsoul's Blessing state and gain 32 Nightsoul points. Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10s by your own team.
Tactical Warm Compress Bandaging
While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, when the current active party member or indwelt saurian has less than 40% HP, Ifa will consume 10 Phlogiston and restore 40% of their HP. This effect can trigger once every 10s, and does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.
