Dauntless Shield

How it works
The guide describes the Dauntless Shield as rewarding parries for last-second blocks. When charged by parrying or absorbing damage, either of the two offered shields can release its energy by double-tapping L1. For Dauntless, the guide says parry attacks can stagger enemies and send them flying when Kratos follows with a shield bash.
