How it works

The guide says the increased damage applies to the first instance of damage after casting Energy Orb, whether or not the orb hits an enemy. It also says the ascension deals some, or all at level three, of that damage to nearby enemies. The guide describes it as best used with high single-hit damage weapons and says it does not work well with shotguns or high-rate-of-fire weapons.
