Flickering Stars GUIDE
Understand Flickering Stars
Useful when…
- Teams able to spend at least four Skill Points in one turn.
- Skill-focused Erudition wearer who can use the temporary Skill DMG increase.
How does Radiant Crown activate?
When any ally consumes a total of at least four Skill Points in one turn, the wearer gains Radiant Crown for three turns. During that state, all allies ignore a portion of enemy DEF when dealing damage, and the wearer gains increased Skill damage. The effect does not stack with effects of the same type.
When is the team effect useful?
The key check is whether the party can actually spend four Skill Points in one turn; the trigger counts the team’s total, not just the wearer’s. The teamwide DEF ignore can benefit allies during the three-turn window, while the extra Skill damage applies only to the wearer.
What should be improved?
Promotion raises the Light Cone’s level. Superimposition increases CRIT Rate, the wearer’s Skill damage, and the team’s DEF ignore; each step consumes a copy. Invest further when the team regularly meets the Skill Point condition and the wearer’s Skill is a meaningful part of its damage.
How does it compare?
A Dream Scented in Wheat grants CRIT Rate and boosts the wearer’s Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK damage without a team Skill Point threshold. A Star That Lights the Night instead ties Energy and stacking bonuses to Assist Skill use. Choose by the trigger and damage types the wearer can use, rather than treating either as an equivalent team DEF effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Radiant Crown requires four Skill Points spent in one turn.
- The wearer’s Skill bonus does not directly boost its other attack types.
- Same-type Light Cone effects do not stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting on Radiant Crown without spending four Skill Points in one turn.
- Assuming the wearer’s Skill bonus applies to allies or to all of the wearer’s damage.
