Understand Into the Unreachable Veil
Useful when…
- A wearer who uses both Skill and Ultimate for damage during the buff window.
- A wearer whose Ultimate consumes at least 140 Energy and can benefit from the Skill Point refund.
What happens after an Ultimate?
The Light Cone grants 12% CRIT Rate at S1. Using the wearer's Ultimate increases their Skill DMG and Ultimate DMG by 60% for three turns. If that Ultimate consumed at least 140 Energy, the wearer recovers one Skill Point. At S5 the CRIT Rate bonus is 20% and the damage increase is 100%; the energy threshold remains 140.
What kind of wearer benefits?
The strongest fit is an Erudition damage dealer who uses an Ultimate that meets the 140-Energy condition and then deals Skill or Ultimate damage during the three-turn window. The Skill Point refund is conditional on energy consumed by that Ultimate; merely having a high maximum Energy value is not enough according to the stated effect.
Investment priorities
Promotion increases the Light Cone's level. Superimposition improves CRIT Rate and the Skill/Ultimate damage bonus, while the 140-Energy threshold and three-turn duration remain fixed. Each listed superimposition step consumes another copy, so compare its incremental gains with the opportunity cost of using copies elsewhere.
Compare by damage type
A Dream Scented in Wheat also grants CRIT Rate, but boosts Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK DMG without this Light Cone's Skill bonus or Skill Point refund. After the Charmony Fall focuses on Break Effect and SPD after an Ultimate. A Star That Lights the Night has Assist Skill-specific stacking effects. These only serve as alternatives when their distinct damage types and triggers match the wearer.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Skill Point refund requires the Ultimate to consume at least 140 Energy.
- The damage bonus lasts three turns and applies to Skill and Ultimate DMG, not all damage types.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing maximum Energy with Energy consumed by the Ultimate.
- Assuming the damage increase applies to Basic ATKs or Follow-Up ATKs.
