Understand Passkey
Useful when…
- Erudition characters whose Skill use can trigger the Energy effect.
- Early or resource-conscious builds seeking an Energy benefit from a 3-star Light Cone.
What does Passkey do?
After the wearer uses their Skill, Passkey restores 8 Energy at S1, rising to 12 at S5. It can trigger only once in a single turn, so repeated Skill use within that turn does not repeatedly grant Energy. The trigger is Skill use; the description does not require the Skill to hit or defeat an enemy.
When is it useful?
Use it when the wearer can use Skills regularly and the Energy helps them reach an Ultimate sooner. Its value depends on the character's Skill cadence and Energy needs. The supplied effect provides no direct damage bonus, so a damage-oriented alternative can be more relevant when Energy is already sufficient.
What should you invest in?
Promotion raises the Light Cone's level through six stages; the supplied examples show Credit and Erudition or Core materials at stages 0→1, 3→4, and 5→6. Superimposition raises the Energy restoration from 8 to 12, one copy per step in the shown examples. Prioritize promotion when its base stats matter to the wearer; pursue higher superimposition when the additional Energy is useful and spare copies are available.
How does it compare with other Erudition options?
A Dream Scented in Wheat grants CRIT Rate and increases Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK damage, so it fits a damage-focused wearer rather than solving the same Energy need. After the Charmony Fall instead supplies Break Effect and a two-turn SPD increase after Ultimate. These are different benefits, not automatic replacements for Passkey's Skill-triggered Energy.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Energy restoration is limited to once per turn.
- The effect has no direct damage increase.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Energy effect to trigger more than once in a turn.
- Choosing it for damage when the build instead needs a damage-specific effect.
