The Day The Cosmos Fell

Erudition attack and conditional CRIT DMG Light Cone

Introduced in v2.0

The Day The Cosmos Fell increases ATK and can grant temporary CRIT DMG when an attack hits at least two enemies that share the wearer’s corresponding Weakness. Consider it for Erudition attacks against multiple enemies whose Weaknesses match.

The Day The Cosmos Fell GUIDE

Understand The Day The Cosmos Fell

Useful when…

  • Attacking multiple enemies when at least two of the targets have the relevant matching Weakness.
  • A wearer who can use the Light Cone’s unconditional ATK increase even when the conditional CRIT DMG is unavailable.

When does the CRIT DMG bonus activate?

The Light Cone grants 16% ATK at S1, rising to 24% at S5. When the wearer uses an attack and at least two enemies attacked have the corresponding Weakness, the wearer gains CRIT DMG for two turns: 20% at S1, up to 40% at S5. The condition checks both the number of attacked enemies and their Weakness match; hitting one matching enemy is not enough.

What combat situations suit it?

Its conditional portion is suited to attacks that reach multiple enemies when at least two targets have the relevant Weakness. In encounters where that condition is absent, the ATK increase still applies, but the CRIT DMG bonus does not activate. A Dream Scented in Wheat instead supplies CRIT Rate and Ultimate/Follow-Up damage bonuses. After the Charmony Fall focuses on Break Effect and grants SPD after Ultimate. The listed A Star That Lights the Night effects concern Assist Skill and Sail stacks, with conditional Ultimate scaling at three stacks; those conditions differ from ordinary weakness-matching.

What should I upgrade?

Promotion improves the Light Cone’s level. Superimposition raises the ATK and conditional CRIT DMG amounts; each step consumes a duplicate. Prioritize copies for superimposition when the wearer frequently meets the two-target Weakness condition and benefits from the larger CRIT DMG bonus.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The CRIT DMG bonus requires at least two attacked enemies to have the corresponding Weakness.
  • The condition can be unavailable when attacking one enemy or mismatched Weaknesses.
  • Superimposition consumes duplicate copies.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming any attack triggers the CRIT DMG effect.
  • Counting fewer than two matching-Weakness targets as sufficient.
  • Treating its bonus as permanent; it lasts two turns after activation.
