How it works
The Switch Axe table describes a Wirebug surge forward followed by three strikes. The hunter is impervious to knockdowns until the strikes finish. It costs one Wirebug Gauge and has medium Wirebug Gauge recovery speed in the source. This move can be swapped with Soaring Wyvern Blade or Wire Step. The source also describes the move as fortifying against flinching or knockback.
