Scouting
Scouting concerns detecting tracks, movement, and distant enemies in the wilderness. The guide also assigns a Scout companion to finding tracks, spotting enemy parties and hideouts from farther away, and slightly increasing party speed.
How it works
The skill page says to develop Scouting by spotting tracks and hideouts and traveling through difficult terrain. The party guide says a companion can hold the Scout role and recommends Scouting skill for that job. It does not specify numeric detection distances or speed gains.
When it helps
Consider a skilled Scout if finding parties and hideouts is a priority.
Your next step
Spot tracks or hideouts and travel through difficult terrain to practice.
