Weapon Skill Trees

Every weapon type has its own skill tree. Weapon proficiency and Locks of Hair can provide skill points for learning moves tied to that weapon.

How it works

The source says weapon skills are learned using Skill Points, earned through increased proficiency with that weapon or by using Locks of Hair. Learned skills are assigned to button presses or sequences as combat commands. It also says each weapon type has an individual skill tree, linking weapon choice to skill progression.

When it helps

If you have a preferred weapon, consider spending its skill points on moves that fit how you want to fight with it. The passages do not establish which skills are optimal.

The tradeoff

Skills are weapon-specific, and learning them depends on points earned through weapon proficiency or Locks of Hair.

Your next step

Open the Skill Customization screen, review the tree for your weapon, and check how its learned commands are assigned.
