Understand Ammo Drum
Useful when…
- Increase maximum ammunition for a rifle.
- Use a Rifle Exilus slot to address an ammo-capacity constraint.
Effect and fit
Ammo Drum grants +15% Ammo Maximum at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. It is a standard Rifle Exilus mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 2. It is incompatible with Flawed Ammo Drum.
Investment
The first rank costs 10 Endo and 483 Credits; the rank 4-to-5 step costs 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits. The final rank adds 30 percentage points over rank 3. Consider whether that extra capacity is worth the upgrade costs and Exilus slot for the rifle you are using.
Other Exilus effects
Flawed Ammo Drum reaches +10% Ammo Maximum and cannot be equipped with this standard mod. Aerial Ace refreshes double jump on kills while airborne, and Agile Aim provides +20% movement speed when aiming in its Conclave variant; neither supplies the ammo-capacity effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a Rifle Exilus slot for capacity instead of another effect.
- Does not address damage, reload speed, or ammo pickup behavior in its stated effects.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping Ammo Drum together with its incompatible flawed variant.
- Treating increased ammo maximum as increased damage or faster pickups.
