Understand Anti-V
Useful when…
- Testing possible Antivirus vulnerabilities on a Technocyte Coda.
- Keeping the identified effective Antivirus mod equipped for later successful Mercy stages.
Effect and charges
Anti-V has three uses when full. Its displayed rank tracks charges already consumed: each successful Antivirus Mercy stage that sends the Coda to its final confrontation consumes one charge from the effective mod. Once all three are used, Anti-V is Depleted and can no longer serve its Parazon purpose. This is charge progression, not an Endo upgrade or combat-stat bonus.
When to equip it
A Coda has one effective Antivirus mod, so Anti-V is useful as a candidate during the test-and-swap process. After finding the match, keep that effective mod equipped; the other two Antivirus slots can be used for Potency Mods. The mod has no polarity or capacity drain, and occupies one of up to three dedicated Parazon Antivirus slots. Those slots require distinct Antivirus mods, so duplicate copies of Anti-V cannot be equipped together.
Practical limits
Do not treat Anti-V as a permanent combat upgrade or expect it to reveal a vulnerability without testing. Track its remaining charges: a depleted copy is unusable for the Parazon purpose, though recycling or supported transmutation are separate options.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its three-charge supply is consumed through successful Coda Antivirus Mercy progression.
- After identifying the matching mod, Anti-V has no testing role for that same Coda beyond serving as the effective mod.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading its displayed rank as ordinary fusion rank rather than charges already consumed.
- Equipping duplicate Anti-V copies in the dedicated slots; only distinct Antivirus mods can be equipped.
- Continuing to spend slots on other Antivirus candidates after identifying the one effective mod.
