Effect and fit
The mod grants +20% multishot at rank 0, +80% at rank 3, and +120% at rank 5. Its base drain is 6 and it fits pistols.
Ranking and alternatives
It has five ranks. The listed rank 4 to 5 step costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Flawed Barrel Diffusion has a lower +40% maximum. Galvanized Diffusion lists +110% and adds +30% multishot for 20 seconds on kill, stacking up to four times. Amalgam Barrel Diffusion lists +110% multishot and +60% dodge speed. Each is a separate incompatible version rather than an extra Barrel Diffusion slot.
Limitations
Barrel Diffusion is pistol-compatible and occupies a standard slot. Its listed effect is multishot, not a specified final damage result. The named Flawed, Amalgam, and Galvanized versions are explicitly incompatible, so choose among the variants rather than attempting to combine them.
