Understand Calculated Victory
Useful when…
- Use on a Conclave pistol when you can reliably secure kills and want to shorten the wait before shields recharge.
What it does
A kill grants reduced Shield Recharge Delay for a limited time. At rank 0, the reduction is 25% for 3 seconds; at rank 2 it is 75% for 8 seconds; at rank 3 it reaches 100% for 10 seconds. The mod also reduces healing received from Health Orbs by 6.2%, 18.7%, and 25% at those ranks, respectively.
Use and rank investment
It is a standard pistol-slot Conclave mod with Vazarin polarity, a base drain of 10, and a maximum rank of 3. Rank it if the stronger, longer kill-triggered window is useful to your setup; each upgrade increases the shield-delay reduction and its duration, but also increases the Health Orb penalty. The listed upgrade steps cost 30, 60, then 120 Endo, with corresponding credit costs of 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796.
Limitations and alternatives
The effect depends on getting a kill, so it offers no listed benefit before the first kill or when kills are too infrequent to refresh its value. The Health Orb penalty is present even at maximum rank. Recuperate also triggers on a kill and has the same listed orb penalty, but grants Heal Rate rather than reducing shield recharge delay. Standard pistol mods such as Galvanized Crosshairs and Galvanized Diffusion serve different damage purposes and are not direct substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Kill-dependent shield recovery comes with reduced Health Orb healing.
- The highest rank costs more Endo and credits for a stronger and longer effect.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the shield effect before a kill triggers it.
- Ignoring the reduction to Health Orb healing when ranking the mod.
