Understand Combat Reload
Useful when…
- Use on a Tigris when accurate, close pellet spreads make five headshot pellets achievable.
- Consider it when the short reload window can be used for a quick follow-up shot.
What triggers the effect?
The effect requires five pellets to be headshots. On trigger, reload speed increases for 3 seconds; the bonus is +20% at rank 0, +80% at rank 3, and +120% at rank 5. The listed condition is about pellets, so a headshot with fewer than five qualifying pellets does not meet it.
Fit and rank investment
This is a standard Tigris mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Rank it when the conditional reload increase is useful often enough to justify fusion: the increase grows from +20% at rank 0 to +120% at max rank. The final listed example step, rank 4 to 5, costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. It occupies a standard mod slot, competing with other Tigris upgrades.
Practical limitation
The bonus is short and depends on landing five headshot pellets, so inconsistent spread or body shots can make the mod inactive when needed. It is compatible with the Tigris; do not treat it as a reload bonus for other weapons.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The reload benefit depends on a five-pellet headshot condition and lasts only 3 seconds.
- Ranking increases the conditional bonus but costs additional Endo and Credits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any headshot triggers the effect; five pellets must be headshots.
- Treating the reload increase as permanent or applying it to non-Tigris weapons.
