Understand Endoparasitic Vector
Useful when…
- Applying a slowing effect around an infected enemy.
- Adding the listed Viral damage over time to nearby enemies.
Range and effect
At maximum rank, the precept transmits an endoparasite to an enemy within 30 m. Tentacles then spawn from it, cling to enemies within 10 m, slow them as they move further from the parasite, and deal 20 Viral Damage per second over 5 seconds. At rank 0, the corresponding values are 7.5 m transmission range, 4 m tentacle range, and 5 Viral Damage per second over 2 seconds.
Compatibility and investment
This is a standard mod for a Pharaoh Predasite, with Penjaga polarity, base drain 0, and maximum rank 3. Range and damage duration improve with rank. The example rank 2-to-3 upgrade costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits; it increases transmission range from 22.5 m to 30 m, tentacle range from 8 m to 10 m, and damage from 15 per second over 4 seconds to 20 per second over 5 seconds.
Alternative Predasite precept
Anabolic Pollination instead releases spores that persist for 10 seconds and increase Toxin Damage by +100% for 15 seconds. That is a toxin-damage buff, whereas Endoparasitic Vector supplies parasite transmission, tentacles, slowing, and Viral damage over time.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The parasite and its tentacle effects have separate ranges.
- The slow is described in relation to enemies moving farther from the parasite; do not assume a specific slow amount.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing the 30 m transmission range with the 10 m tentacle range.
- Assuming a fixed slow percentage when none is stated.
