Understand Quanta Vandal
Useful when…
- Use the beam attack for hitscan Electricity damage and its listed status chance.
- Keep cube direct-hit and explosion entries separate from the beam.
Beam and cube attack properties
The hitscan Beam fires at 12 per second and deals 13 Electricity, with 22% critical chance, 2.4× critical multiplier, and 45% status chance. Cube (direct hit) is a projectile at 4 per second dealing 100 Electricity. Cube Explosion deals 150 Blast with zero reduction listed through 0.5 m. Cube (shot by player) deals 600 Blast with zero reduction listed through 6 m. Cube (direct hit) and Cube Explosion list 5% critical chance, 1.5× critical multiplier, and 26% status chance; those values are not listed for Cube (shot by player).
Handling and requirement
The trigger is Held, magazine size is 80, reload takes 1.8 seconds, and listed multishot is 2. It has one Madurai polarity and requires Mastery Rank 10.
How the other Vandal weapons differ
Prova Vandal is a machete, a different weapon class. Braton Vandal is a rifle described as slower-firing than the standard Braton but with higher accuracy and damage values. Dera Vandal is described as a customized Dera rifle. These descriptions do not provide direct comparisons with Quanta Vandal's beam or cube attacks.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The beam lists 45% status chance, while Cube (direct hit) and Cube Explosion list 26%.
- The cube direct hit and two explosion entries have separate damage values.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply the beam's 45% status chance to cube attacks.
- Do not merge the direct hit, ordinary explosion, and player-shot cube entries into one attack.
