Understand Zakti Prime
Useful when…
- Applying status through repeated dart impacts and gas attacks.
- A dart pistol option with an eight-round magazine and short listed reload.
Darts and gas are separate
The normal attack fires a projectile at a listed five shots per second. Each dart deals 30 base Impact and Puncture damage, with 8% critical chance, a 1.8× multiplier and 42% status chance. The separate Gas Cloud attack lists 100 Gas damage, 42% status chance and an area extending to 3.8 meters with no falloff reduction. These entries are different attack components; do not add them into a single guaranteed hit value.
Capacity and build direction
The Prime holds eight rounds and reloads in one second, compared with the original Zakti’s three rounds and 0.8-second reload. The Prime also raises status chance from 20% to 42% while its listed critical chance rises from 2% to 8%. It requires Mastery Rank 14 and has two Naramon and one Madurai polarity, which can guide matching mod placement. Its higher status chance makes status-oriented choices a sensible consideration; no final build outcome is specified.
Alternatives with different handling
Aksomati Prime is a dual-pistol option with a listed 24% critical chance and 3× critical multiplier, suggesting a different emphasis from Zakti Prime’s dart and gas attacks. Sancti Castanas are thrown, remotely detonated electrical traps, not direct-fire pistols. Consider these when their stated weapon form or handling is desired; neither duplicates the Zakti Prime attack pattern.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Projectile travel calls for aiming rather than instant hit-scan shots.
- The Prime’s larger magazine still holds only eight rounds.
- The dart and gas cloud have distinct listed attack values and should not be collapsed into one hit.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the gas cloud as a damage bonus folded into each dart’s direct hit.
- Assuming the eight-round magazine makes the Prime an automatic or sustained-fire weapon.
