Understand Ferocity
Useful when…
- Use when enemies are being opened to finishers and you want the Kubrow's attack to have a stronger critical-chance bonus.
- At higher ranks, consider it for a wider conditional chance to knock down nearby enemies and open them to finishers.
Effect and conditions
Ferocity requires a target that is already open to finishers for the Kubrow to attack it. At rank 0 the attack gains +50% crit chance; at rank 3 it gains +200%; at rank 5 it gains +300%. The nearby-enemy effect is conditional on the target dying during that attack: affected enemies within range then have a 30% chance to be knocked down and opened to finishers. The radius grows from 1m at rank 0 to 4m at rank 3 and 6m at rank 5.
Rank and fit
This is a standard Sahasa Kubrow mod with a Penjaga polarity, base drain 0, and maximum rank 5. Rank increases both the attack's bonus and the radius of the conditional effect, but the listed 30% knockdown chance does not increase. Example fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 credits for rank 0 to 1, 120 Endo and 5,796 credits from rank 2 to 3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 credits from rank 4 to 5. Prioritize ranks according to whether the larger radius and higher critical-chance bonus justify the increasing cost.
Role compared with Dig
Dig is another standard Sahasa Kubrow mod, but its stated function is sniffing out and digging up buried objects. It serves an exploration or item-finding role rather than Ferocity's finisher-dependent combat effect; the two descriptions do not establish that one substitutes for the other.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Kubrow needs a finisher-open target to trigger its attack.
- The nearby knockdown and finisher-opening effect only has a chance to occur if the attacked target dies during the attack.
- Higher ranks cost increasingly more Endo and credits; the listed chance stays at 30%.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Kubrow to initiate the described attack on an enemy that is not open to finishers.
- Assuming nearby enemies are affected whenever the Kubrow attacks; the target must die during that attack.
- Expecting rank to raise the 30% chance instead of increasing the critical-chance bonus and effect radius.
