Understand Hata-Satya
Useful when…
- Soma Prime firing patterns that maintain a sequence of hits between reloads.
- Builds where a conditional, temporary Critical Chance increase is useful and the mod slot is available.
How does the effect work?
Each hit increases Critical Chance. At maximum rank, each hit adds 1.2%; rank 0 adds 0.2%, and rank 3 adds 0.8%. Reloading or holstering resets the accumulated increase. The effect is specific to Soma Prime, and the mod occupies a standard slot.
Is maximum rank worth the cost?
The mod reaches rank 5, and the per-hit bonus rises as it ranks. The listed costs climb sharply at later steps: the example for ranks 4 to 5 is 480 Endo and 23,184 credits. Invest further when the larger per-hit increase matters to how long you fire between resets; the effect does not persist through a reload or holster.
What interrupts the build-up?
Reloading and holstering both reset the bonus. Frequent reloads or weapon switching therefore cut short the hit sequence that builds the effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus depends on landing hits and is reset by reloading or holstering.
- It is restricted to Soma Prime and uses a standard slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the accumulated Critical Chance survives reloading or holstering.
- Applying the mod to a rifle other than Soma Prime.
