Understand Hellfire
Useful when…
- Add Heat damage to a compatible rifle.
- Stop at a partial rank if the extra Heat bonus does not justify full-rank investment.
Effect and application
Hellfire grants +15% Heat at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. It is a standard-slot rifle mod with Naramon polarity. Its listed bonus applies to Heat damage rather than every damage type or final weapon damage.
Ranking and costs
Hellfire has base drain 6 and maximum rank 5. The listed rank 4-to-5 step costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. That investment raises the Heat bonus toward +90%; consider whether the improvement suits the rifle and merits the added drain and resources.
Alternatives and exclusions
Flawed Hellfire has base drain 4 and reaches +40% Heat at rank 3, but it is explicitly incompatible with Hellfire. Aerial Ace offers airborne double-jump refreshes after kills in an Exilus slot; Agile Aim describes movement speed while aiming in Conclave. Neither supplies the Heat bonus described here.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus specifically applies to Heat damage.
- Full ranking has an Endo and Credit cost and increases the investment in a standard slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the Heat bonus as a bonus to all rifle damage.
- Equipping it alongside Flawed Hellfire, which is explicitly incompatible.
