Understand Hok-Kaal
Useful when…
- Equip it in an Antique slot when using Void Mode before an Amp attack.
- Rank it to increase the listed bonus on the next Amp attack.
Trigger, effect, and cooldown
After using Void Mode, the next Amp attack receives the listed bonus damage, subject to a five-second cooldown. The listed effect rises from x0.5 at rank 0 to x2.0 at rank 3 and x3.0 at rank 5. The input does not further define how the multiplier is calculated, so treat those values as the stated mod effect rather than a final damage prediction.
Ranking and investment
Hok-Kaal has maximum rank 5, universal polarity, and base drain 0. Listed fusion costs rise sharply: for example, rank 0 to 1 costs 160 Endo and 5,000 Credits, while rank 4 to 5 costs 2,560 Endo and 80,000 Credits. Higher ranks improve the stated bonus, so rank according to how often this trigger matters to your Amp use.
Other Antique effects
The listed alternatives cover different functions: Talsek-An can enter Void Mode when it blocks a knockdown, Kaal-zidi improves Void Mode efficiency and conditional movement speed, and Lashta-Vak adds a container-breaking pulse to Void Sling. These effects do not duplicate Hok-Kaal’s next-Amp-attack bonus.
Acquisition
Listed sources are Anarch Capsarii, Anarch Grineer Trapper, and Anarch Tenebra.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus requires using Void Mode and applies to the next Amp attack, with a five-second cooldown.
- Higher ranks have substantial listed Endo and Credit costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the bonus on every Amp attack regardless of trigger and cooldown.
