Jagged Edge

Melee Slash damage mod

Released Nov 20, 2013

Jagged Edge increases a melee weapon’s Slash damage, reaching +90% at rank 5. Consider it when you want that damage-type bonus and can spend the capacity and fusion resources required for its higher ranks.

Jagged Edge GUIDE

Understand Jagged Edge

Useful when…

  • Increasing Slash damage on a compatible melee weapon.
  • Using a Naramon-polarity melee slot for a damage mod.

Effect and fit

Jagged Edge is a standard melee mod with Naramon polarity and 2 base drain. It adds +15% Slash at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. These are mod bonuses, not final weapon damage values.

Rank investment

The mod reaches rank 5. Listed fusion steps include rank 0 to 1 for 30 Endo and 1,449 credits, rank 2 to 3 for 120 Endo and 5,796 credits, and rank 4 to 5 for 480 Endo and 23,184 credits. The final listed step costs substantially more than the early steps, so weigh the extra Slash bonus against competing upgrades and capacity needs.

Variant and alternatives

Jagged Edge cannot be equipped with Flawed Jagged Edge. The flawed variant has the same base drain and polarity but caps at +60% Slash at rank 3; it may serve when that lower ceiling fits your available investment. Amalgam Organ Shatter instead provides critical damage and heavy attack wind-up speed, while Auger Strike provides Puncture damage; those are different bonuses, not direct Slash replacements.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Higher ranks increase the bonus but require progressively larger listed fusion costs.
  • Uses a melee mod slot and capacity.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Equipping it alongside its incompatible flawed variant.
  • Reading the listed bonus as final weapon damage.
