Understand Jahu
Useful when…
- Test Jahu in a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos Requiem sequence.
- Track its remaining uses before equipping it for further successful Requiem Mercies.
What it does and when it is consumed
Jahu belongs to the Requiem system and is used against Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos. The passphrase contains three different Requiems, but their order must be tested. A successful Requiem Mercy that sends the nemesis to its final confrontation removes one charge from every equipped Requiem mod, including Jahu.
Equipping and tracking charges
A fresh Jahu has three charges. It uses a dedicated Parazon slot, with no capacity drain or polarity, and can be equipped alongside up to two other distinct Requiem mods. Duplicate copies of Jahu cannot occupy multiple slots. The pink dots on its icon indicate remaining charges.
What happens when charges run out
After three charges are used, Jahu becomes Defiled and cannot be used for its Parazon purpose. Defiled Requiem mods can still be recycled, sold for Credits, transmuted, or traded; transmutation uses four Requiem mods to produce one random fully charged Requiem mod. These are separate actions, not ways to restore Jahu directly.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Each successful Requiem Mercy consumes a charge from every equipped Requiem mod, so testing Jahu uses up one of its limited three charges when the Mercy succeeds.
- Jahu provides no stated combat-stat bonus; its value is tied to solving the nemesis passphrase.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating its rank as an Endo-upgrade level; rank records how many charges have already been consumed.
- Expecting Jahu to retain a charge after a successful Requiem Mercy sends the nemesis to its final confrontation.
- Equipping a duplicate Jahu in another Requiem slot.
