Understand Neutralize
Useful when…
- Consider it when you want a Chesa Kubrow precept that disrupts enemies and makes them drop their weapons at close range.
What happens and at what range?
The Chesa Kubrow roars, making enemies within range stumble and drop their weapons. Range scales from 5 meters at rank 0 to 8 meters at rank 3 and 10 meters at rank 5. The supplied effect gives no damage value or activation timing, so its stated benefit is disruption rather than direct damage.
Rank and companion fit
This Rare precept has Penjaga polarity, base drain 0, and maximum rank 5. The listed fusion steps cost 30/1,449 at rank 0 to 1, 120/5,796 from rank 2 to 3, and 480/23,184 from rank 4 to 5 in Endo/Credits. Higher ranks extend the disruption radius, so invest in ranks if reaching enemies farther away matters to your use. It is specifically a Chesa Kubrow mod.
Compared with Retrieve
Retrieve serves a different purpose: its supplied description gives a 45% chance for the Kubrow to scavenge additional loot from a fallen enemy or containers within 30 meters, every 10 seconds. It does not provide the stumble and weapon-drop effect described for Neutralize, so treat it as a loot-focused alternative rather than a combat substitute.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The control effect is limited to enemies within its rank-dependent radius.
- The supplied effect describes enemy disruption, not damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the effect reaches the 10-meter maximum at low rank.
- Do not treat Neutralize as a loot-scavenging effect; that is the distinct purpose described for Retrieve.
