Understand Paralytic Spores
Useful when…
- Open enemies in the spore area to Melee Finishers.
- Slow affected enemies by 50% for 10 seconds.
Charge and spores
The Predasite charges an enemy within 30 meters, dealing damage, and releases spores affecting enemies within 15 meters. Those enemies are opened to Melee Finishers and slowed by 50% for 10 seconds. The charge damage rises from 40 at rank 0 to 160 at rank 3; the listed radius and slow duration remain the same.
Fit and related precept
It is a standard Medjay Predasite precept with Penjaga polarity and base drain 0. Infectious Bite is a separate precept whose listed effect adds finisher damage and a Virus with pustules; it does not describe Paralytic Spores’ area slow and finisher opening.
Rank investment
The precept has ranks 0 through 3. Rank increases the charge damage, while the stated 15-meter spore area and 10-second, 50% slow are unchanged. The listed rank 2 to 3 step costs 120 Endo and 5,796 credits; consider that damage increase against other companion mod priorities.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its finisher opening and slow depend on the charge releasing spores.
- The rank progression changes the listed charge damage, not the slow amount or duration.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing its finisher opening and slow with Infectious Bite’s separate Virus and pustule effect.
- Assuming rank increases the listed slow or duration.
