Understand Primed Smite Infested
Useful when…
- Adding the listed Infested damage multiplier to a melee configuration.
- Preparing a melee setup for Infested combat.
Effect and rank scaling
Its listed damage multiplier against Infested is x1.05 at rank 0, x1.3 at rank 5, and x1.55 at rank 10. These are the mod’s stated values; they do not establish final weapon damage or interactions with other effects.
Fit and compatibility
This is a standard-slot melee mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. It is incompatible with Smite Infested and Flawed Smite Infested. Amalgam Organ Shatter shares the melee category and Madurai polarity but lists critical damage and heavy attack wind-up speed instead, so it serves a different build purpose.
Rank investment
The available ranks run from 0 to 10. Listed example costs are 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for rank 0→1, 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits for 5→6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits for 9→10. The effect rises from x1.3 at rank 5 to x1.55 at rank 10, so the higher-rank investment is most relevant when you expect to use the faction bonus.
Alternatives and limits
Smite Infested lists x1.3 at rank 5, and Flawed Smite Infested lists x1.2 at rank 3. Both have lower listed values and are incompatible with the Primed mod. Since the stated target is Infested, this effect is conditional on that matchup rather than a universal melee bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- A standard melee mod slot is devoted to Infested-specific damage.
- The last listed rank-up step has high Endo and Credit costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping it with either listed Smite Infested variant despite their explicit incompatibility.
- Applying the listed multiplier to enemies outside its stated faction target.
- Mistaking a sample cost for one rank-up step as the full rank 0–10 cost.
