Understand Primed Smite Orokin
Useful when…
- Adding faction-specific damage to a melee setup intended for Orokin enemies.
- Choosing between the Primed version and the standard Smite Orokin when deciding how much fusion investment to make.
Effect and ranks
This standard melee mod gives x1.05 damage to Orokin at rank 0, x1.3 at rank 5, and x1.55 at rank 10. The listed multiplier applies to the named faction; it is not a general damage bonus. The mod has Madurai polarity, a base drain of 4, and a maximum rank of 10.
When it fits a melee build
Use it when you expect to fight Orokin and have a standard melee slot available for faction-specific damage. Its value depends on the enemies in the activity: the listed effect names Orokin only. It is incompatible with the standard Smite Orokin, so the two versions cannot be equipped together.
Fusion investment and alternative
Fusion raises the effect from x1.05 at rank 0 to x1.3 at rank 5 and x1.55 at rank 10. Rank-up costs rise substantially: the listed step from rank 5 to 6 costs 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits, while rank 9 to 10 costs 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits. The standard Smite Orokin reaches x1.3 at its maximum rank of 5; it is a lower-investment option if that value suits your build, and it cannot be installed alongside the Primed version. Amalgam Organ Shatter instead adds critical damage and heavy-attack wind-up speed, while Auger Strike adds Puncture; these have different effects and are not direct faction-damage replacements.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus is specific to Orokin enemies, so its usefulness depends on the faction you are fighting.
- Higher ranks require steeply increasing Endo and Credit investment.
- It is incompatible with Smite Orokin.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the Orokin bonus as a general damage increase against every faction.
- Trying to equip it together with Smite Orokin, which is listed as incompatible.
- Assuming the maximum rank is a small upgrade step; the listed rank 9 to 10 fusion cost is much higher than early rank costs.
