Understand Revenge
Useful when…
- Shade loadouts where Sentinel targeting should respond to attacks against its master
- Players who want a no-drain standard precept and can accept its reactive trigger
Targeting condition
Revenge tells the Sentinel not to attack an enemy unless that enemy has attacked its master within the stated range. The range scales from 5.8 m at rank 0 to 8.3 m at rank 3 and 10 m at rank 5. The condition is about an enemy attacking the master; proximity alone is not enough.
Fit and rank investment
This is a standard Shade mod with Penjaga polarity, zero base drain, and maximum rank 5. Ranking expands the distance used by its targeting condition; the supplied fusion costs rise with rank. Rank it if you want the Sentinel’s reactive targeting to cover a wider distance, while keeping in mind that the mod does not describe an unrestricted attack command.
Related Shade precepts
Ghost cloaks the owner when enemies are within 24 m, and the cloak is disrupted if the owner attacks. Ambush grants the owner +240% weapon damage for 3 seconds when Ghost invisibility breaks. They concern concealment and its break effect, while Revenge sets an attack condition; these listed descriptions do not make Revenge a replacement for either effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Sentinel’s attack permission is conditional on the enemy having attacked its master.
- Higher rank widens the condition’s stated range but costs additional fusion resources.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Revenge to authorize attacks merely because an enemy is within range.
- Assuming the 10 m maximum condition range at low rank.
