Understand Ripper Rounds
Useful when…
- Shifting a portion of rifle damage to Puncture in Conclave.
- Using a low-drain Madurai standard rifle mod when the conversion is useful.
What does the conversion do?
Ripper Rounds converts 5% of damage into Puncture at rank 0, 15% at rank 2, and 20% at maximum rank 3. This describes a damage-type conversion; it is not an additional 20% damage bonus.
What are its slot and compatibility limits?
It is a Conclave rifle mod, standard slot, Madurai polarity, base drain 2, maximum rank 3. It is explicitly incompatible with Comet Rounds and Serrated Rounds, so do not plan to equip those alongside it.
How should you prioritize ranks?
The conversion increases with rank. Listed rank steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits from 0→1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from 1→2, and 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from 2→3. Invest in the higher conversion only if the damage-type change is useful for your Conclave setup.
How do the other conversion options differ?
Comet Rounds converts 20% of damage into Impact, while Serrated Rounds converts 20% into Slash; both are named in Ripper Rounds' incompatibility list. Aerial Ace instead refreshes Double Jump on kills while airborne and is an Exilus movement utility mod, not a damage conversion option.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Converts existing damage types rather than adding a separate 20% damage bonus.
- Cannot be equipped with Comet Rounds or Serrated Rounds.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the maximum-rank conversion as damage added on top of the rifle's existing damage.
- Trying to equip it together with Comet Rounds or Serrated Rounds.
