Understand Flawed Sawtooth Clip

- Use it on a rifle when its small Slash bonus and low base drain fit the available capacity.
- Replace it with the standard Sawtooth Clip if you want the larger Slash bonus and can use that mod.
What does it add?
Flawed Sawtooth Clip increases rifle Slash by 2.5% at rank 0, 7.5% at rank 2, and 10% at rank 3. It is a Flawed variant with Naramon polarity and base drain 2. The bonus is a mod stat, not a final damage figure for the weapon.
How should you use and rank it?
It fits a standard rifle mod slot. Its maximum rank is 3, and the successive listed fusion costs are 10, 20, and 40 Endo plus 483, 966, and 1,932 Credits. The relatively low base drain and modest maximum bonus make it a possible interim choice when capacity is tight; rank it only as far as the additional Slash is useful for the rifle you are modding.
What is the standard alternative?
Sawtooth Clip is the standard variant, adding up to 90% Slash at rank 5, with base drain 4. The two mods are explicitly incompatible, so they cannot be equipped together. Aerial Ace is an exilus movement-related option that refreshes Double Jump on kills while airborne, and Agile Aim is a Conclave exilus mod for movement speed while aiming; neither replaces a rifle Slash bonus directly.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The maximum bonus is 10% Slash, well below the standard variant's 90%.
- Base drain is 2, but the mod still occupies a standard rifle slot.
