Understand Sentient Incision
Useful when…
- Use Venato against targets for which matching weakness damage is useful.
- Build around its separate weakness-matching damage rather than expecting it to combine with other elements.
Effect and condition
At rank 0 the mod adds +20% damage matching the target’s weakness, rising to +120% at rank 5. The description explicitly says this damage does not combine with other damage types. Its value therefore depends on the target weakness and how that separate damage fits your setup.
Rank and capacity
Sentient Incision is Venato-only, uses Naramon polarity, has base drain 2, and maxes at rank 5. The supplied rank 4–5 example costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Invest further when the added weakness-matching amount is useful against the targets you face.
A situational choice
Because the bonus follows target weakness and stays separate from other damage types, its benefit is conditional. Do not treat +120% as a universal increase against every target or assume it will merge into an elemental combination.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus depends on the target’s weakness.
- The added damage does not combine with other damage types.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the weakness-matching bonus applies identically to every target.
- Expecting the damage to combine with other damage types.
