Skull Shots

Conclave Viper headshot utility Mod

Released Mar 4, 2016

Skull Shots is a Conclave Viper Mod that can grant a brief period of infinite ammo after a headshot. Consider it for a Viper loadout when you can land headshots and value occasional firing without consuming ammo.

Understand Skull Shots

Useful when…

  • Using a Viper in Conclave and seeking a chance-based ammo benefit on headshots.
  • Improving the trigger chance with higher ranks when this effect is useful.

Trigger and effect

A headshot can trigger Infinite Ammo. At rank 0, the chance is 10% for 0.5 seconds; at rank 2, it is 30% for 2 seconds; at rank 3, it is 40% for 2 seconds. The listed effect is both conditional and temporary, so it does not provide a persistent ammo supply.

Loadout and investment

This is a Madurai-polarity, rank-3 Conclave Mod compatible with the Viper, with base drain 10. Rank investment raises the trigger chance and duration at the shown steps, while listed fusion costs rise with each rank. Consider the substantial drain and whether the brief headshot proc is worth the slot in your Conclave build.

Related Viper option

Stinging Truth is a standard-variant Viper Mod that adds magazine capacity and a Truth value. It does not duplicate Skull Shots’ headshot-triggered infinite-ammo effect, and its standard variant differs from Skull Shots’ Conclave variant.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The ammo benefit has a chance to trigger and lasts only briefly.
  • Its base drain is 10, and it is a Conclave variant.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating the effect as guaranteed on every headshot or as permanent infinite ammo.
  • Confusing this Conclave variant with the standard Viper Mod Stinging Truth.
