Understand Swing Line
Useful when…
- Use when you want to use Rip Line during airborne movement without its Energy cost.
- Consider it for Valkyr mobility, especially if the Exilus slot and mod capacity suit the build.
How the augment works
While airborne, Rip Line has no Energy cost. The augment also grants Parkour Velocity: +5% at rank 0, +15% at rank 2, and +20% at maximum rank. The airborne condition applies to the free casts; the listed velocity bonus is a separate benefit.
Slot and fusion priorities
Swing Line is a standard Valkyr mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and an Exilus slot type. It reaches rank 3. The rank 2-to-3 fusion step costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits, raising the velocity bonus from 15% to 20%; the free-airborne-Rip-Line effect is present at rank 0. Rank further if the extra velocity justifies the cost.
Different Valkyr augment choices
Hysterical Assault is an Exilus augment for Hysteria: attacking with Valkyr's Talons can leap to a targeted enemy up to 50 metres away, then grants +50% Parkour Velocity and +50% Sprint Speed for 5 seconds. Eternal War modifies Warcry duration, adding 2 seconds per Melee Kill while active. Enraged changes Hysteria damage and Critical Chance and imposes a 15-second duration with a matching cooldown. These address different abilities and conditions; they are not direct replacements for Swing Line's airborne Rip Line benefit.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The no-Energy-cost effect only applies to Rip Line while airborne.
- It uses an Exilus slot and has base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Rip Line to be free while grounded.
- Assuming the Exilus slot means the mod has no capacity drain.
