Understand Thundermiter
Useful when…
- Use on the Miter in Conclave when seeking the charged-projectile explosion effect and willing to trade magazine capacity for it.
Effects and conditions
Thundermiter is a Conclave Miter mod. At rank 0, charged projectiles have a 25% chance to explode and magazine capacity falls by 15%; at rank 2, those values are 75% and -45%; at rank 3, charged projectiles have a 100% explosion chance and magazine capacity falls by 60%. The chance applies to charged projectiles; the stated effect does not cover uncharged shots.
Rank and investment
The mod has Madurai polarity, base drain 10, and maximum rank 3. Listed fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for rank 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for rank 2 to 3. Higher rank improves the charged-projectile explosion chance but also increases the magazine-capacity penalty.
How it differs from Neutralizing Justice
Neutralizing Justice is a standard Miter mod described as giving each blade a 90% chance to immediately destroy a Nullifier field and adding +1 Justice. Thundermiter instead grants an explosion chance to charged projectiles and reduces magazine capacity; the described effects address different situations.
Listed Conclave sources
Thundermiter is listed as a Rotation A reward from several Conclave activities on Neptune and Saturn. Each listed source has a 2.48% chance.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The explosion chance applies to charged projectiles.
- At rank 3, magazine capacity is reduced by 60%.
- Base drain is 10.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the explosion chance to uncharged projectiles.
- Ignoring the magazine-capacity reduction when raising the rank.
- Confusing its Conclave charged-projectile effect with Neutralizing Justice’s stated Nullifier-field effect.
