Understand Trojan Tracker
Useful when…
- Testing Antivirus mods against a Technocyte Coda.
- Keeping track of remaining charges on the effective Antivirus mod.
What does it do?
Trojan Tracker belongs to the Antivirus system and holds three charges when full. Its native rank counts the charges already consumed, so remaining charges are three minus that rank. This rank is not an ordinary fusion upgrade and provides no stated combat-stat bonus.
How is it used against a Coda?
A Technocyte Coda is vulnerable to only one Antivirus mod. Since the vulnerability is random, players test and swap mods until the effective one is found. Following a successful Antivirus Mercy that sends the Coda to its final confrontation, only the effective Antivirus mod loses one charge. Once the match is known, the other two slots can be replaced with Potency Mods.
What are the equipment limits?
Antivirus mods go in dedicated Parazon slots. Up to three distinct mods can be equipped, and duplicate copies of one mod cannot fill multiple slots. They have no polarity or capacity drain and are not upgraded through ordinary fusion. After its three charges are used, Trojan Tracker becomes Depleted and is no longer usable for its Parazon purpose; recycling or supported transmutation are separate actions.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The mod has a finite three-charge supply, consumed as it serves as the effective Antivirus mod in successful progression.
- Before testing establishes the Coda’s vulnerability, equipping Trojan Tracker does not guarantee it is the effective mod.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading native rank as an ordinary upgrade level rather than charges already consumed.
- Expecting every equipped Antivirus mod to lose a charge; only the effective mod is consumed at the stated stage.
- Trying to equip two copies of Trojan Tracker in separate Antivirus slots.
