Volcanic Edge is a standard melee mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. It grants +15% Heat and +15% Status Chance at rank 0, rising to +45% of each at rank 2 and +60% at rank 3. The listed bonuses are mod effects, not a final damage or status calculation.
Ranking cost
It has three ranks; the listed steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo, plus 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 Credits. Each rank raises both Heat and Status Chance together. Invest based on how much of each bonus the melee setup needs and the capacity available.
Other melee status options
Carnis Mandible provides +90% Slash and +60% Status Chance, so it emphasizes different damage rather than Heat. Drifting Contact provides +10 seconds Combo Duration and +40% Status Chance. Condition’s Perfection is listed as an Exilus mod that enables Tennokai and adds +100% Status Chance on Tennokai attacks. These effects serve distinct purposes and do not replace Volcanic Edge’s Heat bonus.
