Understand Vome
Useful when…
- Testing Requiem combinations against a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos.
- Tracking remaining charges on equipped Requiem mods.
What does Vome do?
Vome is one of the Requiem mods used to test the three-Requiem passphrase of a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos. The passphrase contains three different Requiems in left-to-right order. Murmurs reveal which Requiems are in the passphrase, but not their order; players test and change the equipped sequence until a Mercy succeeds.
How do charges and slots work?
Vome has three charges when full. Its native rank counts charges consumed, leaving three minus that rank; it is not an ordinary Endo upgrade or a combat-stat bonus. Requiem mods have no polarity or capacity drain. Up to three distinct Requiem mods can be equipped, and duplicate copies of the same mod cannot fill multiple slots. After a successful Requiem Mercy sends the Lich or Sister to their final confrontation, each equipped Requiem mod loses one charge.
What happens when it is depleted?
After all three charges are used, Vome becomes Defiled and can no longer serve its Requiem purpose. Four Requiem mods, including rank 3 Defiled ones, can be transmuted into one new random rank 0 Requiem mod. Defiled mods can also be recycled for Endo, sold for Credits, or traded between players; the supplied reference states a rare-mod trade tax of 8,000 Credits.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- A successful Requiem Mercy consumes one charge from every equipped Requiem mod, not just the one that matched.
- A Defiled Vome cannot be used for its Requiem purpose, though it remains eligible for the separately supported recycling, sale, transmutation, or trade actions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing the revealed Requiem set with its order; murmurs reveal identities, not sequence.
- Equipping duplicate Vome copies, which cannot occupy multiple Requiem slots.
- Assuming only the matched mod loses a charge after a successful Mercy; every equipped Requiem mod does.
- Treating Defiled as still usable in the Parazon sequence.
