Choose an attribute around your preferred tools
Body favors shotguns, light machine guns, and blunt weapons; Reflexes favors assault rifles, SMGs, and blades. Cool, Intelligence, and Technical Ability each support different equipment and abilities.
How it works
Attributes improve related proficiencies and connect to their own perk trees. Body also supports physical power, health, and forced doors; Reflexes supports maneuverability; Intelligence supports netrunning and Smart Weapons; Technical Ability supports Explosives, Tech Weapons, and high-end cyberware; Cool supports stealth and several ranged or throwable weapon types.
When it helps
If you already favor a weapon or approach, prioritize the attribute tied to it. A guide also suggests using the attribute where you gain the most XP as a clue when your playstyle is still developing.
The tradeoff
Attribute points commit to a path, and each attribute also affects stats, equipment compatibility, or dialogue. The source says attributes can be fully reset only once per playthrough.
Your next step
Check which weapons and abilities you use most, then compare their linked attribute before spending points.
