Prayers for Illumination GUIDE
Understand Prayers for Illumination
Useful when…
- Reducing time affected by Pyro
- A situational one-piece defensive effect
What does it do?
Its one-piece effect reduces the time the wearer is affected by Pyro by 40%. The stated effect is about status duration; it does not state Pyro damage reduction or immunity.
Which Prayers effect fits the hazard?
Prayers for Destiny reduces Hydro-affected time by 40%, Prayers for Wisdom reduces Electro-affected time by 40%, and Prayers to Springtime reduces Cryo-affected time by 40%. They are element-specific effects, rather than interchangeable general-purpose defenses.
When should you equip it?
Use the effect when Pyro status duration is a practical concern and dedicating one artifact slot to that protection makes sense for the encounter. Its stated mechanics do not establish protection against Pyro damage itself, so do not count it as a damage-reduction effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It only shortens Pyro status duration.
- The benefit is situational and uses an artifact slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming it reduces Pyro damage or prevents Pyro status entirely.
- Choosing it when Hydro, Electro, or Cryo status is the relevant concern.
