Lumine GUIDE
Understand Lumine
Useful when…
- Use Anemo form when you want a skill that can absorb an element or a burst that pulls objects and opponents forward.
- Use Dendro form when you want an area lamp that deals Dendro damage and can gain a form-specific effect from Hydro, Electro, or Pyro contact.
- Use Electro form when a party member can collect its Energy-restoring amulets, or when you want a burst that restores Energy as active characters land normal or charged attacks.
- Use Geo form for a damaging meteorite that can be climbed or block attacks, or a burst that launches nearby opponents and creates a defensive stone wall.
- Use Hydro form for a press-or-hold skill with different damage patterns; its hold mode can consume HP above 50% HP and can generate healing droplets.
- Use Pyro form when you want a threshold that follows the active character and deals interval or coordinated Pyro damage.
- Use Cryo form when you can build Frostglow with its star and spend those stacks to increase the burst’s damage and, at eight stacks, its strike count.
What changes between Lumine’s forms?
Her ordinary sword pattern stays consistent: up to five rapid normal strikes, two rapid charged strikes for 20 Stamina, and a plunge that damages along its path and in an area on impact. The form-specific skill and burst are the main reason to switch forms.
Anemo’s Palm Vortex deals continuous Anemo damage in front, then explodes for greater damage over a wider area when its duration ends; holding it increases damage and area over time. Contact with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro adds damage of that element once per use. Gust Surge sends a forward-moving tornado that pulls objects and opponents toward it for six seconds; it can also absorb one of those four elements. The burst has a 60 Energy cost and a 15-second cooldown.
Dendro’s Razorgrass Blade deals Dendro damage. Surgent Manifestation creates a Lea Lotus Lamp for 12 seconds, dealing continuous Dendro damage in its area. Hydro contact increases the lamp’s and its attacks’ area, Electro contact increases its attack speed, and Pyro contact makes it explode after a short delay and disappear. Only one transformation can occur during the lamp’s duration, and only one Traveler lamp can exist at a time. The burst costs 80 Energy and has a 20-second cooldown.
Electro’s Lightning Blade throws three thunder shadows and leaves up to two Abundance Amulets after hitting an opponent. A nearby character who collects one restores 3 Energy and gains 20% Energy Recharge for six seconds; the amulet lasts 15 seconds. Bellowing Thunder costs 80 Energy and grants a 12-second effect: the active character’s normal or charged attacks can call a Falling Thunder every 0.5 seconds, dealing Electro damage and restoring 0.8 Energy to that character.
Geo’s Starfell Sword creates a damaging meteorite construct that can be climbed or used to block attacks; holding the skill adjusts its position. Wake of Earth launches nearby opponents away, deals area Geo damage in expanding shockwaves, and makes a stone wall that can block attacks. Hydro’s Aquacrest Saber can fire a forward Torrent Surge on press, or enter aiming mode on hold and fire Dewdrops for up to six seconds before a Torrent Surge. While holding it above 50% HP, Dewdrops gain damage based on Max HP and consume 4% Max HP each second. Its four-second Rising Waters burst sends a slow-moving bubble that damages nearby opponents; it costs 80 Energy and has a 20-second cooldown.
Pyro’s Flowfire Blade grants 42 Nightsoul points and summons a following threshold. Tap creates a Blazing Threshold that damages nearby opponents at intervals; hold deals area Pyro damage and creates a Scorching Threshold whose coordinated attack triggers when the active character deals damage, at most once every three seconds. The state lasts up to 12 seconds, consumes Nightsoul points, and ends when they run out. Recasting while active resets the points to 42. Plains Scorcher deals area Pyro damage and restores seven Nightsoul points per second for four seconds.
What practical support and combat effects can each form provide?
Anemo’s passive adds an Anemo blade equal to 60% of ATK on the final normal-attack hit. Its other passive restores 2% HP for five seconds when Palm Vortex defeats an opponent, with a five-second trigger interval. Cryo form’s Ice Fog Piercer creates a Frostpierce Star that follows party members and periodically fires Cryo crystals. Under Stellar-Conduct, those crystals instead coordinate with the Traveler’s normal, charged, or plunging hits, at most once every 0.2 seconds. Each crystal hit grants one Frostglow stack, up to eight; stacks expire after 30 seconds out of combat. Frostbound Javelin consumes all stacks, increases its damage according to the number consumed, and gains two extra strikes when it consumes eight. While a Frostpierce Star is active under Stellar-Conduct, Cryo form converts the Traveler’s normal, charged, and plunging damage to Cryo that another infusion cannot override, and adds damage equal to 80% of ATK. Its passive also converts 8% of ATK into Elemental Mastery, up to 160. Stellar Jubilee changes Superconduct or Cryo Swirl into Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl and increases the reaction’s base damage based on ATK, up to 7%; its states depend on a Polestar Field or a nearby party member triggering Stellar Swirl.
Dendro’s lamp gains one Overflowing Lotuslight stack each second it remains on field, up to ten; each stack grants active characters within its area 6 Elemental Mastery. The Traveler also gains Dendro skill and burst damage based on their own Elemental Mastery. Electro’s passive lowers Lightning Blade’s cooldown by 1.5 seconds when another nearby party member collects one of its amulets. Its other passive increases the amulet’s Energy Recharge effect by 10% of the Traveler’s Energy Recharge.
Geo’s first passive reduces Starfell Sword’s cooldown by two seconds. Its second makes the last normal-combo hit deal an additional area Geo hit equal to 60% of ATK. Hydro’s Spotless Waters creates a droplet near the Traveler after a hold-mode Dewdrop hits; collecting it restores 7% HP. This can happen once per second, up to four droplets per skill use. Clear Waters adds bonus Torrent Surge damage equal to 45% of the HP consumed by that use of Suffusion, capped at 5,000 damage. Pyro’s True Flame of Incineration increases threshold attack area after hits while the Traveler has over 20 Nightsoul points. Embers Unspent restores five Energy after the active character inside a threshold triggers a Pyro-related reaction, once every 12 seconds; a nearby party member’s Nightsoul Burst restores four Energy.
Which abilities merit investment?
Choose a form first, then prioritize the skill or burst that provides the effect you intend to use: Anemo’s held vortex or absorbing tornado, Dendro’s lamp, Electro’s amulet or attack-triggered burst, Geo’s meteorite or shockwave, Hydro’s press/hold skill or bubble, Pyro’s threshold or Nightsoul-restoring burst, or Cryo’s star and Frostglow-dependent burst. This is conditional guidance based on each ability’s stated role, not a universal damage ranking. If you mainly use a form’s skill and burst, its normal-attack track is a lower priority unless you also rely on sword attacks or a passive tied to their hits. Cryo’s coordinated star can be triggered by normal, charged, and plunging hits; Electro’s burst requires active-character normal or charged hits; the Geo attack passive specifically uses the final normal-combo hit.
Ascension is a separate investment track from combat talents. The supplied examples list Mora, Brilliant Diamond materials, Windwheel Aster, and masks for ascension, while each form’s attack, skill, and burst tracks have their own talent materials. The examples show talent levels 1 to 2, 5 to 6, and 9 to 10, with the final example requiring 700,000 Mora, regional talent books, scrolls or other form-specific materials, a weekly material, and a Crown of Insight. Form changes are not a reason by themselves to raise every combat track: tailor spending to the particular form and abilities you use.
What can go wrong when using a form?
Anemo absorption requires the vortex or tornado to contact Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro; each use can absorb only once. Dendro’s lamp accepts only one Lotuslight transformation, and Pyro contact ends it in an explosion, so that contact can cut short its ongoing damage and support. Electro’s amulets must be collected nearby to grant their Energy and Energy Recharge effect; the burst’s Energy recovery depends on its Falling Thunder actually hitting opponents after the active character’s normal or charged attacks. Geo constructs may block attacks, but the meteorite’s placement matters; hold to adjust its position when needed. Hydro hold mode trades HP for stronger Dewdrops only above 50% HP; droplets require the Traveler to pick them up, and the extra Torrent Surge damage depends on HP actually consumed during that skill use. Pyro’s threshold ends when Nightsoul points run out, and recasting the skill while it is active resets points to 42. For Cryo’s burst, Frostglow stacks are consumed on cast; reaching eight before casting is necessary for its additional strikes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Traveler’s flexibility comes with form-specific investment: the useful talent priorities and elemental effects depend on which form is active.
- Several valuable effects have setup conditions, such as elemental contact for Anemo or Dendro, collecting Electro amulets, or building Cryo Frostglow before the burst.
- Hydro’s hold-mode damage consumes HP above 50%, while Pyro’s threshold is limited by its Nightsoul points.
- Lumine and Aether are both listed as five-star sword characters; the supplied comparison contains no supported gameplay distinction between them.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Anemo absorption without the vortex or tornado contacting an eligible element; absorption can occur only once per use.
- Triggering Pyro contact on Dendro’s lamp when you need it to persist, since that transformation makes it explode and disappear.
- Leaving Electro amulets uncollected, which forfeits their Energy restoration and Energy Recharge effect.
- Casting Cryo’s burst before building eight Frostglow stacks when you want the additional strikes.
- Using Hydro’s hold mode without accounting for its HP drain above 50% HP, or assuming generated droplets heal before the Traveler picks them up.
- Recasting Pyro’s skill during its active state without accounting for the Nightsoul reset to 42 points.

Flowfire Blade · Traveler (Pyro) · Elemental skill
Wields a searing flame that can incinerate the very earth. Has different effects when Tapped or Held.
Tap
Call forth flames in a raging blaze. When used, the Traveler gains 42 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state, summoning a Blazing Threshold that follows the current active character.
When the Blazing Threshold gets close to opponents, it will deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to nearby opponents at intervals.
Hold
Unleash fire in a composed manner, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG to nearby opponents. When used, the Traveler gains 42 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state, summoning a Scorching Threshold that follows the current active character.
When the current active character within a Scorching Threshold deals DMG to opponents, the Threshold will launch a Coordinated Attack that deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG based on the Traveler's ATK. This effect can occur once every 3s.
Nightsoul's Blessing: Traveler
Continuously consumes Nightsoul points. The Traveler's Nightsoul's Blessing state lasts 12s at maximum, and when their Nightsoul points are exhausted, this state will end. If this Elemental Skill is used again while active, the Traveler's Nightsoul points will be reset to 42 points.
Blazing and Scorching Thresholds will disappear once the Traveler's Nightsoul's Blessing state ends, and only 1 Blazing or Scorching Threshold summoned by the Traveler themselves can exist at any one time.
