Elemental Mastery Catalyst with party-composition buffs
Released Nov 2, 2022
A Thousand Floating Dreams is a 5-star Catalyst with Elemental Mastery as its secondary stat. Other party members grant the wielder either Elemental Mastery when they share the wielder’s Elemental Type or that type’s DMG Bonus when they differ; each bonus can stack up to three times. The weapon also grants Elemental Mastery to nearby party members other than the wielder. Consider it for a wielder and party that can use these composition-dependent benefits.

What do teammates provide?
At refinement 1, each other party member of the same Elemental Type as the wielder provides 32 Elemental Mastery. A different type instead provides a 10% DMG Bonus from the wielder’s Elemental Type. Each of these effects can stack up to three times, so the party’s types determine the mix of benefits. Separately, nearby party members other than the wielder gain 40 Elemental Mastery. Multiple such weapons can stack this party effect.
When is it useful?
The weapon has an Elemental Mastery secondary stat and offers more Elemental Mastery to allies, making it relevant when the wielder or nearby party members can use that stat. Its wielder-side bonus changes with party Elemental Types: matching types provide Elemental Mastery, while different types provide a DMG Bonus for the wielder’s own Elemental Type. Check the party before relying on a particular distribution of those benefits.
What does refinement improve?
At refinement 5, each same-type party member grants 64 Elemental Mastery, and each different-type member grants a 26% DMG Bonus from the wielder’s Elemental Type; the corresponding effects still cap at three stacks. Nearby party members other than the wielder gain 48 Elemental Mastery. Refinement examples require another copy and Mora. Ascension is a separate stage 0–6 track, with supplied examples for selected stages.
How do the comparison Catalysts differ?
Angelos’ Heptades grants ATK, then activates a team damage increase and Energy restoration after its wielder creates a Shield; it can also trigger from opening a chest outside combat. Ash-Graven Drinking Horn has an HP secondary stat and a periodic HP-scaled area hit after an attack hits. Apprentice’s Notes has a lower base ATK and no secondary stat or listed refinement effect. These are distinct roles, not interchangeable versions of this weapon’s party-composition buffs.
Limitations and tradeoffs
The wielder’s bonus mix depends on other party members’ Elemental Types.
The nearby Elemental Mastery benefit excludes the wielder.
Common mistakes to avoid
Counting the wielder among the party members that provide the weapon’s same-type or different-type stacks.
Assuming the nearby Elemental Mastery effect also benefits the wielder.
