Understand End of the Line
Useful when…
- Support a bow user who benefits from Energy Recharge and uses attacks after an Elemental Skill.
- Use when the wielder can land up to three attacks during the Flowrider window to make use of its AoE damage.
How does Flowrider work?
Using an Elemental Skill triggers Flowrider. The next qualifying attacks that hit an opponent deal AoE damage equal to 80% of the wielder’s ATK at R1. Flowrider ends after 15 seconds or after three AoE damage instances; only one instance can occur every two seconds, and the effect can be triggered once every 12 seconds. Refinement raises the damage ratio to 160% ATK at R5 without changing these timing and instance limits.
Who benefits from its handling and stats?
The Energy Recharge secondary stat supports Burst availability. Flowrider requires a Skill use to start and an attack hit to produce each AoE instance, so a player should follow the Skill with attacks that connect before the 15-second expiration. The description does not limit the triggering attack to a particular bow attack mode. The AoE damage is expressed as a percentage of ATK, so ATK affects the effect’s damage.
How should it be improved?
Ascension raises weapon stats and requires the listed materials. Refinement consumes Original Fish Ointment and Mora; each rank adds 20 percentage points of ATK scaling to Flowrider, from 80% at R1 to 160% at R5. Refinement is most useful if the wielder reliably activates Flowrider and lands its follow-up hits. The energy secondary stat remains separate from this refinement increase.
How do other bows differ?
Alley Hunter gains damage while its wielder stays off-field, then loses that bonus during extended on-field time. Amos’ Bow targets Normal and Charged Attack damage, with added damage based on arrow flight time. Aqua Simulacra grants HP and a damage bonus when opponents are nearby, including while its wielder is off-field. Their conditions differ from End of the Line’s Skill-started, attack-triggered AoE effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Flowrider requires both an Elemental Skill activation and subsequent attack hits.
- The AoE effect is limited to three instances, at least two seconds apart, and expires after 15 seconds.
- Refinement improves only the Flowrider damage ratio, not its trigger interval or duration.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Flowrider to deal damage immediately on Skill use; an attack must hit an opponent.
- Trying to trigger more than one AoE instance within two seconds.
- Assuming the effect can deal more than three instances or be reactivated before its 12-second trigger interval.
