Understand Favonius Warbow
Useful when…
- A bow wielder who values Energy Recharge and can land CRIT hits.
- A support-oriented build that benefits from the weapon’s particle effect.
Particle effect and timing
At Refinement 1, a CRIT hit has a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, restoring 6 Energy for the character. The effect can trigger once every 12 seconds. At Refinement 5 the chance reaches 100% and the interval shortens to 6 seconds; the listed restoration remains 6. Energy Recharge is the bow’s secondary stat, separate from the particle effect. The passive needs a CRIT hit and cannot trigger again until its interval allows it.
When it suits the wielder
The combination is most relevant when the bow user needs Energy and can reliably produce CRIT hits. Alley Hunter instead uses ATK and increases damage while the wielder stays off-field, with the buff declining after more than four seconds on-field. Amos’ Bow boosts Normal and Charged Attack damage and adds an increase based on arrow time in the air. Aqua Simulacra increases HP and boosts damage while opponents are nearby, whether its wielder is on-field or off-field. Those effects support different damage patterns; none of the listed comparison effects is Favonius Warbow’s CRIT-triggered particle generation.
Improvement tradeoffs
Refinement improves the passive’s trigger chance and interval, from 60% and 12 seconds at Refinement 1 to 100% and 6 seconds at Refinement 5. It does not raise the listed 6 Energy restored per proc. The shown refinement steps consume another Favonius Warbow copy and Mora. Ascension progresses separately through six stages, with its own listed material and Mora examples. If passive reliability is the goal, refinement directly improves it; weigh that against using a copy to refine rather than retaining it.
Avoid overcounting its Energy
The passive is not guaranteed at low refinement, and even a CRIT hit can fail the chance roll. Refinement 5 guarantees the chance when its trigger condition is met but does not remove the six-second interval. Do not add the passive’s 6 Energy restoration to the Energy Recharge stat as if they were the same property. Alley Hunter’s off-field damage buildup is also not a particle effect, despite sharing the Bow category and rarity.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The particle effect requires a CRIT hit and has a chance to fail below Refinement 5.
- A six-second or longer interval limits particle generation.
- Refinement consumes another weapon copy without increasing the listed 6 Energy per trigger.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the passive as automatic without landing a CRIT hit.
- Assuming Refinement 5 removes the cooldown or increases the 6 Energy restored.
- Confusing the secondary Energy Recharge stat with the passive’s particle restoration.
