Understand Flower-Wreathed Feathers
Useful when…
- Charged Attack damage when the user remains in Aiming Mode to build stacks.
- Reduced Stamina consumption while gliding.
How does the aimed-shot bonus build?
While using Aimed Shots, Charged Attack DMG increases every 0.5 seconds. At refinement 1 each interval adds 6%, stacking up to six times; refinement 5 adds 12% per interval. The stacks are removed 10 seconds after leaving Aiming Mode. The effect says Charged Attack DMG, so its value is tied to charged attacks and the time spent aiming rather than a general damage increase. Separately, the weapon reduces gliding Stamina consumption by 15%.
What attack pattern suits it?
It is suited to a bow user who can stay in Aiming Mode and fire charged attacks after building stacks. If the user repeatedly leaves aiming or fires immediately, the stack buildup is less useful and the 10-second removal timer matters. Its ATK secondary stat supports ATK-scaling damage, while the gliding benefit is an exploration convenience rather than a combat damage effect.
How should you invest?
Ascension raises the weapon through stages; the listed examples use Night-Wind materials, Ignited materials, whistles, and Mora. Refinement increases the charged-attack bonus per half-second while leaving the 15% gliding Stamina reduction unchanged. Refinement uses duplicate Flower-Wreathed Feathers copies and Mora; examples include one copy and 1,000 Mora from refinement 1 to 2 and one copy and 8,000 Mora from 4 to 5. Refinement is most relevant when the user builds stacks consistently, since the exploration effect does not improve with refinement.
How do other bow effects compare?
Alley Hunter rewards time off-field, then loses its damage bonus after the wielder remains on-field for more than four seconds. Amos’ Bow improves normal and charged attacks and adds damage based on arrow flight time. Aqua Simulacra increases HP and grants a damage bonus when opponents are nearby, on or off-field. These are distinct conditions: consider Alley Hunter for off-field patterns, Amos’ Bow for its attack and arrow-flight conditions, and Aqua Simulacra when its proximity-based damage bonus applies; none duplicates the aimed-shot stack and gliding effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The charged-attack bonus takes time in Aiming Mode to build and disappears 10 seconds after leaving it.
- It does not state a bonus to normal attacks or Skill and Burst damage.
- Refinement improves the combat bonus but not the gliding Stamina reduction.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting six stacks immediately instead of building them every 0.5 seconds while aiming.
- Leaving Aiming Mode long enough for the stacks to expire before using charged attacks.
- Assuming refinement improves the gliding Stamina reduction.
