Understand Fractured Halo
Useful when…
- Use the Skill or Burst trigger for the 20-second ATK bonus.
- For the party Lunar-Charged bonus, have the wielder create a Shield during the active ATK-effect window.
Effects and trigger sequence
Fractured Halo has 45.94 Base ATK and CRIT DMG as its secondary stat. Using an Elemental Skill or Burst increases ATK by 24% for 20 seconds at Refinement 1. If the wielder creates a Shield while this effect is active, they gain Electrifying Edict for 20 seconds, increasing nearby party members’ Lunar-Charged DMG by 40% at Refinement 1. The shield condition is separate from Skill or Burst activation: using a Skill or Burst alone gives the ATK effect, while creating a Shield during its active period is required for the team bonus.
Who benefits
The personal effect pairs a CRIT DMG secondary stat with a timed ATK increase. The team-facing effect has a narrower condition: it applies to Lunar-Charged DMG and requires the wielder to create a Shield during the ATK window. Consider the polearm when those effects fit the character and party; without the Shield trigger, the Electrifying Edict support does not activate.
Investment and alternatives
Ascension proceeds through six stages, with listed costs at selected steps. Refining consumes another copy and Mora; at Refinement 5, the Skill or Burst trigger grants 48% ATK and the Shield-triggered party bonus reaches 80% Lunar-Charged DMG for 20 seconds. Those gains matter most if the wielder can meet both triggers and the team deals Lunar-Charged damage. “The Catch” instead has Energy Recharge and boosts Elemental Burst damage and CRIT Rate. Ballad of the Fjords has CRIT Rate and adds Elemental Mastery if the party contains at least three different Elemental Types. Beginner’s Protector is a one-star polearm with no secondary stat listed. Their effects do not reproduce Fractured Halo’s Shield-gated Lunar-Charged support.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The ATK increase requires Skill or Burst use and lasts 20 seconds.
- The party Lunar-Charged DMG bonus requires the wielder to create a Shield during that active window; it does not follow from Skill or Burst use alone.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Lunar-Charged bonus from Skill or Burst use without also creating a Shield during the 20-second effect.
- Treating the team bonus as a general damage increase; it specifically names Lunar-Charged DMG.
