What activates the personal buff?
At R1, the weapon increases DEF by 16%. When the wielder’s Elemental Skill or Lunar-Crystallize attacks hit opponents, Frost Fae’s Favor activates for six seconds, increasing the wielder’s Geo DMG and Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage by 40%. The effect can trigger off-field. Refinement increases DEF and both damage bonuses, reaching 32% DEF and 80% bonuses at R5.
When does it support teammates?
While Frost Fae’s Favor is active, the presence of Moondrifts near the wielder grants all other nearby party members Frost Fae’s Mischief: at R1, 20% Geo DMG and 20% Lunar-Crystallize reaction damage. At R5 those values become 40%. The Moondrift condition is separate from the hit that activates the wielder’s effect; without nearby Moondrifts, the written party bonus does not apply. The wielder’s personal bonuses remain tied to Frost Fae’s Favor.
How should you invest?
Ascension raises weapon stats using the listed materials. Refinement consumes duplicate copies and Mora, increasing the DEF and the personal and party damage bonuses. Because the passive focuses on Geo and Lunar-Crystallize, refinement is most relevant when those effects are usable; its bonuses do not become general damage increases. The six-second personal effect duration and Moondrift condition remain part of the play pattern at every rank.
How do the bow comparisons differ?
Alley Hunter rewards off-field time and loses its damage bonus during extended on-field use. Amos’ Bow buffs Normal and Charged Attacks, with extra damage based on arrow flight time.
