Understand Hamayumi
Useful when…
- Supporting a bow user whose damage comes from Normal or Charged Attacks.
- Using the stronger version of its bonuses when the wielder can remain at full Energy.
What does it increase?
At refinement 1, Hamayumi grants 16% Normal Attack DMG and 12% Charged Attack DMG. At refinement 5, those values are 32% and 24%. When the wielder’s Energy reaches 100%, the effect is increased by 100%, doubling both listed bonuses. The weapon’s secondary stat is ATK.
When should you consider it?
It fits a bow user whose damage is built around Normal or Charged Attacks, especially if keeping Energy at 100% is practical. The full-Energy condition is a tradeoff: spending Energy means losing the doubled effect until Energy returns to 100%. The weapon’s listed bonuses do not cover Skill or Burst damage.
Refinement and investment
Refinement increases both attack-mode bonuses, from 16% and 12% at rank 1 to 32% and 24% at rank 5; the full-Energy condition remains. Ascension raises the weapon through six stages, while refinement consumes a duplicate copy. Prioritize ascension or copies according to how often the wielder uses these attacks and can satisfy the Energy condition.
How do the alternatives differ?
Amos’ Bow directly increases Normal and Charged Attack damage and adds damage according to arrow flight time, while Alley Hunter builds damage while its wielder is off-field and loses that bonus after extended field time. Aqua Simulacra grants HP and a damage increase when opponents are nearby, including off-field. Each has conditions distinct from Hamayumi’s full-Energy doubling.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The strongest version requires Energy to be at 100%; using Energy turns off the doubled effect.
- The listed bonuses target Normal and Charged Attacks, not every damage source.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Spending Energy and assuming the doubled Normal and Charged Attack bonuses remain active.
- Applying the Normal and Charged Attack bonuses to Skill or Burst damage.
