Understand Hunter's Path
Useful when…
- Enhancing elemental damage through its All Elemental DMG Bonus.
- Adding Charged Attack damage based on Elemental Mastery after a Charged Attack hits.
How does Tireless Hunt work?
The bow grants 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus at refinement 1. Hitting an opponent with a Charged Attack activates Tireless Hunt, adding Charged Attack DMG equal to 160% of Elemental Mastery at rank 1. It ends after 12 Charged Attacks or 10 seconds, and only one instance can be gained every 12 seconds. At rank 5, the bonuses are 24% and 320% of Elemental Mastery.
Who should consider it?
It is aimed at a bow wielder whose Charged Attacks can use the Elemental Mastery scaling and who can hit an opponent to activate the effect. The added damage is specific to Charged Attacks; the All Elemental DMG Bonus is a separate benefit. The 12-hit or 10-second expiration and 12-second trigger interval limit how continuously the special effect can contribute.
Refinement and ascension
Refinement raises All Elemental DMG Bonus from 12% to 24% and the Charged Attack scaling from 160% to 320% of Elemental Mastery. Ascension raises the weapon through six stages; refinement consumes a duplicate copy. Refining is most relevant when the wielder regularly uses Charged Attacks and benefits from the Elemental Mastery scaling.
Other bow effects
Alley Hunter favors time off-field and loses its damage bonus with extended field time. Amos’ Bow increases Normal and Charged Attack damage and rewards arrow flight time. Aqua Simulacra grants HP and damage when opponents are nearby, whether on-field or off-field. Their effects differ from Hunter’s Path’s Charged Attack hit trigger and Elemental Mastery scaling.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Tireless Hunt requires a Charged Attack to hit and expires after 12 Charged Attacks or 10 seconds.
- Only one instance can be gained every 12 seconds; the Elemental Mastery scaling applies to Charged Attack DMG.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Tireless Hunt is active before a Charged Attack hits an opponent.
- Applying its Elemental Mastery scaling to Normal Attacks, Skills, or Bursts.
- Ignoring the 12-second limit on gaining another instance.
